Natalie Yerelekian

Natalie Yerelekian’s passion for filmmaking started when she was young on IMovie. In 8th grade, she began taking film courses at Viewpoint School, and her love for the art has continued to grow ever since. Throughout high school, she has written and directed over 10 films, and has worked in various roles on others. Natalie has also attended several summer courses at USC School of the Cinematic Arts. She plans to attend USC’s film school as a Film and Television Production major and pursue a career in the film industry.

Zooey Jeong

Zooey Jeong started film as a freshman and has really enjoyed her time in Viewpoint’s film program. Throughout high school, she has worked on many of her classmates' films and has especially enjoyed the producing and assistant directing roles. In “How It Should Be,” she served as one of the producers along with Nathan Danese and was the 1st Assistant Director on set. Zooey hopes to continue doing film at Duke University this fall, as well as explore her interest in ecology and environmental studies.

Nathan Danese

Nathan Danese has been involved in Viewpoint’s film program during all 4 years of high school. Over the course of his time at Viewpoint, he has developed strong passions for filmmaking as well as music and theater. He has written and directed several short films as well as produced, assistant directed, and filled a wide range of other roles on over 20 film sets. He has developed a love for the producing side of filmmaking and was honored to have the opportunity to produce this movie with Zooey. He is attending UVA in the fall and intends to major in Media Studies.

Samuel Green

Samuel Green joined Viewpoint’s film program in middle school and has been a part of it ever since. His passion for film began after he started editing videos of his art-making process for Instagram. Throughout his time with film in high school, Sam collaborated on 17 student projects, directed his own films, and found a strong passion for cinematography. This year, he served as the Director of Photography for the Film IV project, How It Should Be, playing a crucial role in the production process and developing the visual style of the 1950s look versus the modern look. This fall, Sam will be attending Northwestern University to continue his love for film as well as to pursue his interest in history and politics.

Alexa Jeong

Alexa Jeong first discovered her passion for filmmaking in freshman year and has since been part of Viewpoint's film program throughout high school. Along with writing and directing her own films, she has worked on many of her classmates sets and has taken a special interest in editing, writing, and visual design. This year, she has imbued her love for art and illustration into her roles as both the production designer and editor for How It Should Be. Alexa is excited to attend Yale University in the fall, where she plans to major in English and Film Studies.

Monica Hoenig

Monica Hoenig is an accomplished high school film teacher and experienced filmmaker with over 20 years in the industry as a writer, director, producer, and technician. She brings a practical, hands-on approach to teaching all aspects of film production, grounded in real-world experience. Passionate about nurturing emerging talent, Monica is dedicated to guiding the next generation of filmmakers with insight, creativity, and care.
